Our Story:
How Two People and Two Kilograms of Glass Created Thousands of Smiles
What is life made of?
We believe it’s made of colorful fragments — just like a stained glass window.
And one of those fragments is our story.
Who are we?
My name is Yurii, and my wife is Inna. Two dreamers, two bicycles, and two kilograms of glass
— that’s how it all began.
Where did it start?
In 2017, somewhere in the heart of Europe — in Poland, near Warsaw. We had just arrived
there with our little daughter, starting over after losing our home and small souvenir business
on the coast of the Black Sea in Crimea. The sea view, the scent of lavender and juniper — all
left behind. But not the dream.
So why stained glass?
I’ve always loved art. I studied fine arts as a child, and stained glass fascinated me. One day,
before moving to Poland, I saw small stained glass angels and cats in Lviv, and they deeply
touched something inside me.
And the glass?
Those first two kilograms of glass — bought for just ten dollars — were scraps, leftover pieces
of many colors from a local workshop. That glass became our beginning.
Was it easy?
Not really. But each small step brought light back into our lives. We experimented, learned,
failed, and tried again. Soon, some of those early suncatchers were sold — and that moment
felt magical.
What do we create today?
Over 20,000 handmade stained glass suncatchers — flowers, cardinals, moons with cats, and
angels that remind people of loved ones. Each piece is made by hand with love and patience.
What makes your art special?
We developed our own technique of copper electroplating — a slow, careful process that
gives each piece a noble, antique look. Every edge is hand-polished, every solder line smooth
and elegant. Our goal is to make glass shine not only in sunlight but also in the heart.
Why do people love your work?
Because it’s personal. Each suncatcher is a piece of light that stays forever — a perfect
, Mother’s Day present, birthday keepsake, or memorial ornament. Made from
natural materials — glass and metal — it can last for generations.
And what now?
We’ve built our own small online shop — a cozy corner filled with color, warmth, and meaning.
You’re welcome to visit, explore, and find something that will make your window — and your
soul — a little brighter.
